Unit 9 Can you come to my party? Period 1 (Section B 1a-1f) Student analysis Students have learnt the sentence patterns, “What day is it today?” and “what’s the date today?”. It’s easy to understand the sentence pattern “What’s today?”. But it’s relatively difficult to speak out these sentence patterns with the changes in tenses and temporal words, such as “what day was it the day before yesterday?”. In teenagers’ life, they may can’t accept the invitations for some reasons. So it’s important to tell them to turn down the invitations politely.
