一、教材分析

本课选自外研社版小学英语(三年级起点)三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short.本课时主要学习几对反义词：tall-short, big-small, fat-thin，并恰当运用这些词描述某人或某物的特征:This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small/fat/thin.

二、学情分析

三年级的学生对英语很感兴趣，但是注意力不能长时间集中，需要通过多种活动，如比赛、游戏、表演、歌曲等，吸引他们的注意力。

三、教学目标

1、知识目标：

(1). 听说读三会掌握单词man、short、tall、small、thin、big (2).掌握语言：

This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small/fat/thin.

2、能力目标

(1).能灵活运用This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small/fat/thin.描述某人/物的特征。

(2).提高学生英语口语水平，和运用英语的能力。

(3).培养学生的观察、推理能力和语言综合运用能力。

3、情感目标

(1). 培养学生爱护小动物的美好品质。

(2)．通过学习，树立学生学习英语的自信心和团结合作的能力。

四、教学重难点

1.教学重点: (1).听说读三会单词

man、short、tall、small、thin、big (2).掌握句型

This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small/fat/thin. 2.教学难点：

(1).单词thin的发音。

(2).句型：This monkey is small and thin.

That monkey is big and fat. 五、课时和内容安排：两课时

第一课时：活动1、2、3、5 第二课时：活动4、6、7 六、教学过程

Step 1

warm - up and revision 1. Greetings T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Ms Yin. 2．告诉同学们，课堂上积极回答问题的有奖（一面小红旗），奖品课后领。

3.Sing the ABC song. 4.Let’s chant

Tiger, tiger, it’s a tiger.

Lion, lion, it’s a lion.

Panda ,panda, it's a

panda. Monkey ,monkey, it's a monkey. Elephant ,elephant, it's an elephant. （设计意图：以歌曲和歌谣开始，营造轻松快乐的英语学习氛围，激发学生的学习兴趣。同时也复习了有关动物的单词。小奖品的设置进一步提高学生的积极性。）

Step 2

Presentation and practice Let’s learn new words. 播放PPT,引导学生观察图片，引出生单词。词不离句地学习单词，并板书在黑板上。

1、出示图片，引出“big”和“small”。

（1）T:Look，what are these? Ss: They are apples. T:Yes,they are apples. This apple is big, and this apple is small. （2）再通过PPT出示多种比较大小的图片，让他们在运用中操练、巩固、检测。（下同）

This … is big/small.

（设计意图：通过词不离句的操练，为后面描述人和动物做了充分的词汇和句型的准备。）

2、复习“boy”,引出“man”。

T:This is a boy. Is this a boy?

Ss：No. T：This is a man. 3、出示图片，引出“tall”和“short”。

T:Look,here are two men. This man is tall, and this man is short. 4、Listen ,point and say.（SB P11,Activity 1）

（1）Listen and point.（听一听，指出相对应的图画）

（2）Listen and repeat. （3）Point and say, practice in pairs. （4）T:Come to the front to point and say. Who can？Put up your hands.（请3个同学上台指一指，说一说）

T:Others look and listen. 5、出示图片，引出“fat”和“thin”。

T:Look,here are two men, this man is fat, and this man is thin.（注意“thin”中“th”的发音）

6、通过活动强化操练生单词。

（1）声音渐强、渐弱

（2）抢答赛，抢答反义词，看谁第一个抢到。

（3）连线练习，进一步巩固生单词。

（4）Let’s chant.

Big,big, the tiger is big. Small, small, the cat is small. Tall, tall, the elephant is tall.

Short,short, the dog is short. Fat,fat, the panda is fat. Thin,thin, the monkey is thin. （设计意图:通过强化操练，进一步为下一步的描述扫除了词汇和语言障碍。）

播放PPT，出示图片，引出句子，在情景中操练，并板书到黑板上。

Step 3 Game

Let’s play a game.Do and say.

T:

Look,here are some headwears of different animals,now I want someone to act them and do actions , other students

describe them.(请几位同学戴上动物头饰并作出动作，让其余同学来进行描述）

1、

选一胖一瘦两位同学扮演熊猫。(胖的站得近，瘦的站得远)

T:Look,let’s describe the pandas.

Ss:This panda is fat.That panda is thin.（用big/small描述也对）

2、

选一高一矮两位同学扮演猴子。（高的站得近，矮的站得远）

T:Let’s describe the monkeys. Ss:This monkey is tall.That monkey is short. 3、

选个子一大一小两位同学扮演老虎。（大的站得近，小的站得远）

T:Let’s describe the tigers.

Ss:This tiger is big.That tiger is small.（也可以用fat/thin描述）

（设计意图：通过游戏，在激发学生兴趣的活动中，巩固了相关单词和句型。）

Step 4 Consolidation T:Let’s do some exercises.

Step 5 Summary 师生一起总结所学内容。并对同学们的表现给予鼓励、表扬。提醒积极回答问题的同学课后来领奖（一面小红旗）

（设计意图：引导学生总结，让学生对所学知识有更清晰的印象；对学生的表现进行总结，以鼓励他们继续努力。）
