学情分析：发出邀请、接受或拒绝邀请，这是学生现实生活中经常遇到的生活场景。在本单元之前，学生已经学过了情态动词的几种用法，在本节课中我们将用 Can you…?来发出邀请，只是如何用英语来接受或拒绝邀请对学生来说有些困难。因此，本节课主要是通过设计不同的情景，让学生学会如何向别人发出邀请，如何接受或拒绝邀请，并说明拒绝邀请的理由是什么。

教学目标：

掌握重点词汇：prepare, exam, flu, prepare for an exam, have the flu 目标语言：

Can you come to my party on Saturday afternoon? ---Sure, I’d love to.

---Sorry, I can’t. I have to …/I must ….

技能目标：

提高同学们的英语口语交际能力。

情感目标：

学会人际交往的基本常识，学会有礼貌地邀请别人以及回答别人邀请的方式。

教学过程：

Step 1: Lead in

Have a free talk with students. Are you free this Saturday? This Saturday is my birthday and I want to have a party . 设计意图：

本节课主要是学习如何用英语发出邀请。因此，特设计周末生日要举办聚会来引入话题, 紧扣本课主题。

Step 2: Presentation Show students a We-Chat conversation to present the target language of this lesson. Then present the phrases one by one with the help of some pictures.

Help students to master the phrases. 设计意图：

通过同学们比较熟悉的微信对话框展示本课的目标语言，能快速地吸引同学们的注意力和提高他们的学习兴趣。这种方式过渡自然，同学们比较容易接受。另外，再通过形象直观的图片，帮助同学们对重点短语有了更好的掌握。

Step 3: Play a game with students.

Play a game with students to help students master the phrases in class. 设计意图：本环节采用游戏教学法，这种方式同学们很喜欢，它能调动同学们的学习积极性，发挥学生的主体作用。

Step 4：Make a report. This Saturday is my birthday. I also want to invite the students in class to come to my party. Choose a leader from each group. Ask him or her to help me make the invitations with the question: Can you come to my English teacher’s party? Then make a report about the group. The sample report:

In my group , Wen Shuai and Li Ming can come to your party. But Li Jing has to prepare the exam and Wang Peng must help his parents do housework, so they can't come to your party. 设计意图：

本环节跟本节课的开头首尾呼应，继续回到老师周末生日举办聚会的情景中。引导同学们用本节课的目标语言和所学短语来开展对话，并进一步作一个简单的报告。发挥同学们的主体地位，也可以检测同学们上课的学习效果。
