教材分析

本节课是本单元第一课时,以Animals in a zoo为话题,要求观察图片和听说活动,来引领学生参观动物园,其目的让学生了解各种动物的英文名称,描述动物的特征及谈论个人对动物的喜好,说出喜欢和不喜欢的理由。这节课话题由what、where、why引导的特殊疑问句来谈论对动物的喜好,“Why do you like ...? Because they are .... Where are they from? They are from ...”动物名称和描述动物特点的形容词是教学的重点。通过教学让学生认识到保护动物的重要性。

学情分析

学生已经学过由why, where, what引导的特殊疑问句句型,具备本单元的基础知识。各种动物能激发学生好奇心,而初一学生喜欢与人合作,对英语有一定的兴趣和很强的学习欲望,有利于本单元知识的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。

I. Teaching aims教学目标：

1. Knowledge aims：Master the key words，phrases and sentences. (1)

IV. Teaching steps 教学过程

Step 1. Warming-up and lead in play a video about animals .After watching it ,ask the students to answer two questions:(1)What's the video about (2) What animals can we see in the video ? 设计意图: 用视频导入,来活跃气氛,将话题引入到本课相关的动物上。通过问题引导学生说出视频中动物的英文名称,激发学生的兴趣,引出下个教学步骤。

Step 2. Presentation(learn about animals) 1.

Step 3. Presentation(describe animals) Ask the students to describe some animals, express preferences, and give the reasons in groups, and then in class.
