Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section A

一、学习目标：

1. 通过听力练习，fast reading，快速完成以下两个任务1听关键词词汇2快速找到不同看法。通过词汇延伸问答，完美同伴活动, 完成细读任务和retelling the dialogue。

2. 通过观察句子，初步掌握to do作宾语的用法和常用动词。通过练习对省略to 的不定式进行拓展延伸。

3. 通过“我是小记者”和“四人小组编对话”活动，采用创设情境，学生能

够运用所学说出自己的观点和编写对话。

二、教学过程

1. Lead-in

Teacher shows some pictures about different kinds of TV shows , students answer quickly if they know it. Then students work in pairs to make conversations by themselves. Ⅱ.Presentation 1.Through listening, students can grasp the key words and fill in the blanks.Then students read it together. 2.Through fast reading, students can find the the answer to the question. 1. )What are Grace and Sarah talking about? They are talking about TV shows. 2. )What does Grace think of game shows and sports shows?

She can’t stand them. 3. )What does Grace think of soap operas? How about Sarah? Grace loves soap operas, but Sarah doesn’t mind them.

3.Explain some new words and main points in the conversation.

4.Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation and we’ll see which partners are the best.

Ⅲ. Grammar focus 1. 学生根据Grammar Focus中的汉语句子，说出与此相对应的英语。

2. 观察

Grammar Focus 句子中的红色字体，找出相对应的规律。

3. 学生们找出规律后，做练习巩固，加深印象。

Ⅳ. Grammar 动词不定式做宾语的用法：

动词不定式的形式：to + 动词原形

Jack wants to buy some flowers for Mr. Wu. 杰克想给吴老师买些花。

常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词:

想要

want,

期望

expect, 希望hope, 计划plan, 决定decide ,开始begin,开始start

e.g. She wants to buy a new car.

她想买辆新车。

My father decided to travel with me. 我爸爸决定和我一起旅游。

◆不定式有时和一连接代（副）词一起构成宾语。

e.g. I don’t know what to say.

我不知道说什么。

2. 最后，由各小组长来说一说他们小组所做的总结。

3. 大屏幕出示常见的跟动词不定式做宾语的动词和同学们一起对答案。

【拓展】

1. 省略to 的不定式

有些动词后面跟动词不定式时应将不定式符号to省去。常见的动词有let, make, feel, help, watch, hear等。例句：

让我来帮助你。

Let me help you.

你能帮助我打扫房间吗？

Can you help me clean the house?

2. 动词不定式作主语时，常用it作形式主语，而把真正的主语——不定式后置。

e.g. It’s hard to learn a language well.

将一门语言学好是非常难的。

3. 动词不定式作定语时，要放在所修饰词的后面。

e.g. Would you like something to drink? 你想要什么喝的吗？

4. 动词不定式可作宾语补足语。

e.g. My mom asks me to drink milk every day.

我妈妈要求我每天喝牛奶。

I’m a TV reporter. Here we need a TV reporter and he’ll interview some of students according to the form, then he’ll make a report to the whole class. 2.

Here are four students a group to show their conversation.There are two topics, first is about talking about TV shows and their opinion. And second is about the host Jenny and her guests about when and where they’ll meet. VII. Tips Don’t watch TV too much!
