How can we go to Beijing

Part 1 The analysis of teaching material

This lesson is from unit 3, grade5, book 1. It includes 4 parts. Bus or plane, Let's go by train ,let's sing, let's do it. The former section deals with the new words and sentences pattern through some dialogs. In section 3, it's a song. Last part, it's practice. Part 2 Students

Our students are in grade 5. they have learnt these knowledge in book 1, grade 4, so it's not difficult for them to learn this lesson. Part 3 Teaching aims

According to the teaching outline and the students' situation, I set the following aims. 1. Knowledge aim

In this lesson, students should recognize, read and use these words and sentences: slow, fast and How far is it from A to B 2. Ability aim

Through a variety of activities and dividing groups, it will develop students' abilities of listening and speaking. 3. Emotional aim

1, help students to foster the cooperation spirit 2, cultivate students' consciousness of proper competition Part 4

Key points and difficult points

The key points: the meaning of words and the usage of sentence pattern slow, fast, how far is it from A to B? The difficult points: the pronunciation of the number Students can use what they have learnt in their daily life Part 5

Teaching methods

In this lesson, I will mainly use "task based teaching method" and "communicative teaching method", as for students, they will mainly use "cooperation learning method".

Part 6

Teaching procedures

I will show this lesson from the following 6 steps: Greeting and warming up, Presentation, Practice, Extension, Summary and Homework. Step 1 Greeting and warming up After greeting with my students, I will begin this class by singing a song, Old M has a farm, E I E I O. On his farm has a cow, E I E I O. With a moo moo here, and a moo moo there. Here a moo, there a moo. Everywhere a moo moo. The purpose: By doing this, I can attract students' attention and arose their interests, in the meantime, they can review the knowledge they have learnt, and I will lead in the new knowledge. Step 2

Presentation At first, I will show a short flash about how can we go to Beijing. And then I will show a ppt. In the first picture, I will show two animals, a turtle and a rabbit. By this picture, students will learn the meaning and the difference between slow and fast. In the second picture, I will show these sentences, how far is it from Shijiazhuang to Beijing? It's 278 kilometers. By this picture, students will learn the sentence pattern, how far is it from A to B.I will help them to pay attention to the pronunciation of the number. Next, students will turn on the book, let's sing to practice this sentence. The purpose : It presents the new words and sentences patterns in the situation, which release to students' real life experience, to help students understand the language easily and naturally. Step 3

Practice

Students will practice the dialogue in pairs. One ask, the other answer and exchange, then I will invite one or two pairs to show their products, and I will applause to encourage them.

The purpose : By cooperation learning method, students will practice the new knowledge correctly and skillfully. It will develop students abilities of listening and speaking. They will understand the meaning of structure better, and master the knowledge firmly. Step 4

Extension

Students will practice in groups, four students a group. Everyone asks where do you want to go, how do you go to this place, and how far is it from A to B and communicate with their partners. Then I will choose one best group and prize a red flower.

The purpose : This part is very important of this lesson. It will develope students abilities of cooperation and communication. By this practice, they will feel happy, and successful during this part. Through task-based teaching method and communicative teaching method, students will use the new words and sentence patterns to communicate in their daily life. Step 5 Summary

I will ask one student to summarize what we learn today and others supply, and I will tell this to my students: you take an active part in our class, keep it, and come on. The purpose : This step consolidates the new knowledge, and students will have a deep despression of this lesson. In the meantime, they will be encouraged to perform better and better. Step 6 Homework 1. Listen to the tape and read the text. 2. Make a travel plan in National Day, write down the distance and the ways to go out.

The purpose : students can choose one homework and finish it according to their learning level, so they can review what they have learnt after class and use it in daily life. Part 7 Blackboard Design

At last, it's my blackboard design. This is my blackboard design. Here is title, key points and difficult points. It's tidy and clear for students to understand.
