一、设计理念

“What is the best movie theater ?”是人民教育出版社Go for it！教材八年级英语上册第四单元教学内容，本课为B部分最后一课时，主题与我们日常生活息息相关，以学生学习询问及回答个人喜好，并会阐明原因的句子为主体，以完成教学任务为中心，在运用句子完成任务过程中来掌握语言，通过合作学习，对学生自主学习效果实行有奖有惩制度，激发学生学习兴趣，使学生主动参与知识的获得过程，教师在其中起指导、点拨作用。

二、教学背景分析

1. 教材分析：本单元结合前面所学的形容词的比较级, 全面掌握原级，比较级和最高级的用法，本单元话题容易唤起学生的学习兴趣，有利于提高学生综合运用语言的能力。

2. 学情分析：Junior high school students in Grade 8 are active. They have already mastered some English knowledges such as a wide vocabulary and some expressions. They know some simple sentence structures. The topic of this lesson is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students. 三、教学目标

1. 知识与技能：结合前面所学的形容词的比较级（Unit3）,全面掌握

原级，比较级和最高级的用法。

2. 过程与方法：通过教师的指导，学生大量的语言实践，提高和发展学生用英语进行交流的能力和独立思维与独立实践能力。

3. 情感态度与价值观：大量的小组活动，让学生建立起互帮互学的同学关系，让学生在一定的语言环境中学会用最高级表达句子，体现英语学用结合的特点。

4. 教学重难点：能写一篇介绍事物或人物的文章，并能较好地运用形容词的比较等级。
