教材分析:
本课是冀教版小学英语五年级第五册第四单元的第二课Lesson 20:The Spring Festival Is Coming! 是一节新授课。本课属于阅读课。主要讲述了李明向Danny 和Jenny介绍春节我们做什么,旨在向学生介绍如何用英语描述我们的传统节日---春节的有关知识。内容与学生的生活有着紧密的联系,能激起学生谈论的兴趣,加深同学们对春节文化以及中华传统节日文化的了解和热爱。因此,学生学习兴趣浓厚。
教学对象分析:
五年级学生已经学了两年多的英语,大部分学生能用简单的英语谈论一些话题。本课内容和学生的日常生活有一定的联系,在四年级的时候他们已经接触了一些节日,如:New Year’s Day, Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day……而且他们对春节既熟悉又充满兴趣。学生一定会兴奋又快乐的学习本课。
教学目标:
知识目标:
1. 学生能够听、说、读、写下列单词: room, door, window, make, kid. 并了解相应的语音知识。
2.理解和运用重点句型: What do you do for the Spring Festival?能力目标:
1. 能够讨论春节前的准备工作;
2. 提高学生的创造,合作和交流能力。
情感目标
1. 激发学生的英语学习兴趣;
2.让学生感受春节文化的魅力,加深其对中华节日文化的了解和热爱。
教学重难点:
1.认读和理解新单词
2.理解课文内容并能够介绍“What do you do for the Spring?”

红包,教学课件,图片。
教学过程
Step1 Pres-reading
T: Hello! Nice to meet you. How are you today?
T: Deng, deng, deng ...What’s this?
T: Yes, the lucky money. Do you want to get the lucky money?
Let’s play a guessing game. If you can give me the answer, I’ll give the lucky money to you. Okay?
T: This holiday is for children or kids. What is it?
T: This holiday is for teachers. What is it?
T: This holiday is the first day of a year and it will be coming (到来)soon. What is it?
T:This is a poem. What is it?

2. T: You are so clever.
指着古诗旁边的鞭炮告诉学生This is the firecracker. 再指着放鞭炮的小孩问Who set off the firecracker? 引导孩子学习kid 一词。然后通过动态PPT,师生一起放鞭炮。
T: Now let’s look at some special things for the Spring Festival.展示“Spring couplets(对联)”问学生Where do we put the Spring couplets? 之后邀请学生举起双手做贴春联的动作并在PPT上将对联贴到大门上学习单词“door”,再通过展示“red paper-cut (剪纸)”以相同方式学习”window”
Step2 While-reading
1.T:The Spring Festival is really interesting. The Spring Festival is
coming. When is the Spring Festival this year? (结合带日历表的PPT让学生回答)
2. T: Danny and Jenny are stay with Li Ming’s Family for the Spring Festival. They want to know what the Spring Festival is. Let’s read the text quickly and find out “what is another name for the Spring Festival?”(学生快速的读课文回答“what is another name for the Spring Festival?”)
3. T: Danny and Jenny want to know more about the Spring Festival. Let’s listen and read to find out “What do you do for the Spring Festival?” First listen and then read the text carefully. (此过程呈现本课的重点短语并学习room,make等单词)
Step3 Post-reading
1. T: I make dumplings and visit my family and friends for the spring Festival. And I really want to know what you do for the Spring Festival. Please talk in groups and finish this survey. Then make a dialogue to show your survey
1.T: Wow, your Spring Festival is really interesting. Do you love the Spring Festival?
T: Yes, we all love the Spring Festival. But many people from other countries also like the Spring Festival. Let’s chose a Spring Festival ambassador from our class. Now first, practice to introduce the Spring Festival with your partner, and then introduce to all of us. We will chose the best one to be our Spring Festival ambassador (展示外国人庆祝春节的图片,让学生扮演春节大使介绍春节,并在班内推举出今年的春节大使, 再把狗年的剪纸送给选出的春节大使。)
T:Congratulations to you. Next year is the year of dog. Here is a paper-cut of dog to you.
Step4 Homework
T: Now please show us your lucky money. They are the twelve year animals. They are for all your class. I hope you can share with each other.
Homework
T: There are many other Chinese Festivals. If you want to know more you can search the internet to get more information about Chinese traditional festivals and make a picture book.
