本课选自《新标准英语》三年级起始三年级下册Module2 Unit2 That man is short. 教学目标

一、语言知识目标

1.全体学生能初步理解词汇：tall, short, man,big, small, fat, thin, big and fat 2.全体学生能初步运用句子：This\That…is tall\short\big\small\fat \thin. 二、语言技能目标

1.全体学生能听、说This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. 2.全体学生能描述某人/动物的形态特征。

三、情感目标

通过学习，体会英语学习的乐趣。

教学重点、难点

1、学习并掌握单词tall, short,man, big, small, fat, thin, big and fat 2、掌握句型 This/That … is tall/ short/ big/ small. 3.th的发音,辨析this 和that。

教学准备： 黑板、单词卡片、图片、多媒体课件。

教学过程

Step1. Greetings &Warming & review. 1.Greeting 2.Warming up 1)Ss sing a song. 2)What can you see at Old Macdonald’s zoo? (学生回答) 3)Do you know other animals?（学生可以用单词回答）

3.Review. Let’s go to the zoo. What’s this? What are they?(学生用It’s a…\They are…回答) Step 3: Presentation. 1.T:You did a good job.You see, some animals are tall,some are short.So,today we are going to learn Module 2 Unit2 That man is short.(出示课题)。Ss repeat. 2.First,let’s go and see a show with Daming and Sam.(看视频) 1)T: It’s very interesting! At the begining,he is tall.(做高的动作),at the end,he is short.(做矮的动作)，because he is a boy.(指男孩) （板书tall ,short）

2)read and ss repeat.(可以边做动作边读单词，集体读，分组读，男女读，个人读，开火车读) 3）I am tall ,you are ___(学生补充short) 换其他学生比个子说句子。

3.出图，Look! The cat is ___(学生补充) . The dog is tall.(指名学生说，及时表扬) 出姚明的图，Who is he? (学生回答：He is Yao Ming. He is tall.) Yes,I’m a woman ,he is a man.(出单词，学习man, 集体读，分组读，男女读，个人读，开火车读) 出图，比较，引导学生说出 He is a man, he is short. 4.出图，They are cats, they are so cute. This cat is fat(指胖猫) （板书fat,学生跟读）This cat is thin (指瘦猫，板书thin,学生跟读，强调发音) 引出句子This cat is fat\thin.(强调this 的发音。辨析this &thin 的发音不同，板书this thin)——（重点和难点）

练习：拿胖瘦男人，胖熊猫，瘦猴子的图片，请学生练习：集体说，个别说。练完将其中一幅贴黑板上。

5.出图：大猴子，学生说出：This monkey is___.学习新单词：big.另一张图,引出：That monkey is small.学习small.练习新单词。

比较练习This和that,强调th的发音。

4)对比练习this &that:远近学生大小个

比较，贴黑板上的胖瘦男人比较，手里拿的包和苹果比较。

Step 4: Practice 1.Let’s see and chant,(巩固句子) 2.Play a game: do and say.(学生带动物头饰并做出胖瘦高矮大小的样子，指名描述) Step 5 : Production 对话练习 1. Look and say a dialogue. 1）look and answer: What are they like? 2)look and repeat then fill in the blanks. 3. Pair work: read in roles. 4. Show out.(及时奖励) Step 6 . Consolidation

Draw a zoo in groups. Then introduce your zoo, use the words and sentences they have learned. Step 7 Home work. 利用彩泥制作属于自己的动物园，下节课展示并用所学过的句子介绍给大家。
