Unit3 Animal world 教学设计

【教材分析】

本科节选自新起点小学英语六年级上册第三单元Animal World第二课时。本课内容以Binbin、Helen等故事的主人公参观动物世界为主线，学习有关动物出生地、年龄、身高、体重、速度及其他特点的新单词和重点句型。

【学情分析】

在第一课时中学生已经初步掌握了动物名称和动物种类的新单词。如本课中出现的hummingbird、giraffe。但本节课的教学内容多而且其他表达动物身高、体重、速度等单词及表达比较难学。所以在讲授这节课时我创设情境，让学生在情境中围绕话题反复练习听和说，让学生逐步的感知本节课的教学内容。

【设计理念】

新版课程标准特别强调学习过程，重视语言学习的实践性和应用性。这一理念强调了语言学习不仅应关注学习结果，更应关注学习过程。语言学习具有很强的实践性和应用性特点，这两个特点决定了语言学习不应是一个对英语语言知识体系的学习，不应是靠单纯的讲解和记忆进行学习的。如果长时间采用直接告知、死记硬背和机械训练的方式，学生学到的知识仅仅停留在暂时的记忆中，知识与知识之间难以建立有机的联系，缺乏使用的语境和意义的理解，很快就会被遗忘。所以在讲授这节课时我除了必要的讲解和解释外，把更多的学习空间和思维空间给了学生，而自己在整节课中起着穿针引线的作用。在学习活动中设计了相关的听、说的内容，如，听录音回答问题、听录音填空等帮助学生养成良好地听力学习策略和捕捉课文信息的能力。

【教学目标】

技能目标：

1、能听懂有关动物特征的语句。

2、能用英语表达动物出生地、年龄、身高、体重、速度及其他特点。

3、能就动物的特征用How打头的特殊疑问句进行提问。

知识目标：

1、能够听懂并说出以下词汇：centimeter、kilometer、meter、strong、wing、ton、heavy 2、能够听懂并说出一下句型：How tall is it ? It’s ……meters tall . How fast is it ? How heavy is it ?

as……as……

情感态度：

了解一些大型动物的特征。

学习策略：

培养学生在语境中学习单词和句子的学习策略。

【教学重点】

【教学难点】

Step1 Revsion (复习旧知) 1、跟读单词

2、听单词、复述并翻译。

Step2 Presentation (新课呈现) T：They are animals .So today we go on learn Unit3 Animal World .(板书课题) T：Binbin Helen Bill Andy Joy Yaoyao Lily and Tom they are in the Animal world .

What animals do they see there ? Listen to the tape , carefully . Step3 New Contents (讲授新课) 1、听录音整体感知。
